Nura:rise of the yokai clan - Nura:rise of the yokai clan
By Scarletrose on Jan, 5 2015
For a shounen action series, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan's first thirteen episodes are surprisingly low-key and comfortable while still containing enough action to keep the viewer interested. Based on the manga of the same name by Hiroshi Shiibashi, the series follows unassuming twelve-year-old Rikuo Nura. Rikuo is one-quarter yokai, a fact which enables him to transform into “Night Rikuo,” an older, powerful demonic version of himself, although it may be more accurate to say that Night Rikuo is trapped within Day Rikuo. In any event, Rikuo just wants to be a normal human boy and resists his grandfather's plans to make him into the third clan head. This being the kind of story it is, Rikuo soon learns that his rejection of his yokai heritage has serious consequences not only for the yokai clan, but also for his human friends. This forces him to rather quickly accept who he is, a decision he comes to with what feels like a little too much ease. Nevertheless, as Rikuo comes to terms
Ragnarok the Animation - Ragnarok the animation
By Scarletrose on Dec, 19 2014

Based on a Korean online RPG and animated with perfunctory laziness, Ragnarök makes no attempt to sidestep or elaborate on its basic RPG structure—characters talk to townies to receive missions, forests are full of monsters to fight for no reason, everyone belongs to a "class" (hunter, merchant, warrior, healer, etc), and forming a party and wandering aimlessly seems to be everyone's ultimate goal in life. A lack of inspiration, however, is but a minor flaw in a show that effortlessly surpasses the merely uninspired to become one of a rarefied group of series that are truly, torturously it great anime in the end
Fast & Furious 6 - Fast & Furious 6
By Scarletrose on Dec, 15 2014
“Fast and Furious 6″ finds Dom (Vin Diesel) and Brian (Paul Walker) pulled out of retirement in an extradition-free country by global hopping lawman Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), who is chasing a notorious criminal named Shaw (Luke Evans). Hobbs has embraced that old adage it takes a thief to catch a thief, and since Hobbs seems to have carte blanche to do whatever the hell he wants, he promises pardons all around to our friendly neighborhood gang of thieves if they suit up. Dom assembles the old crew to do just that — including Han (Sung Kang) and girlfriend Gisele (Gal Gadot), along with bickering comic relief Roman (Tyrese Gibson) and Tej (Ludacris). Mia (Jordana Brewster), Brian’s baby mama and Dom’s sister, is stuck at home with the baby. As for Elena (Elsa Pataky), Dom’s new girlfriend from the last movie, well, it’s kind of awkward. You see, besides that pardon, Hobbs is also dangling the fact that Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), the love of Dom’s life, is still alive and

The Regular Show features two adults, Mordecai and Rigby, as they work at their not-so-boring jobs in the park. This show is like many of the newer Chartoon Network shows as it seems to be made for teens rather than kids.but its good anyways

By Scarletrose on Oct, 14 2014

There is a dancing game that involves hitting a circle of drums with overlong sleeves, there\\\'s a fight in a field of wild flowers, and of course, there is the inescapable crossing of swords while flitting around a bamboo forest. And romantic
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 - The hunger games
By Scarletrose on Oct, 12 2014
It got romance If sport is violence by other means, then reality TV is cruelty, envy, spite and group hate … by exactly the same means. The Hunger Games is an exciting dystopian fantasy-thriller on this theme, taking place in a world of circuses but no bread. It is directed by Gary Ross, and based on the 2008 young-adult bestseller by Suzanne Collins, who co-wrote the screenplay with Ross
