Chaos is coming to Tori Vega's life. The 16 year old is starting at a new high school; but not just any school. This is Hollywood Arts, a performing arts school where crazy talented students learn how to become real artists.. Until now, Tori didn't think she had much talent of her own, and was content to live in the shadow of her older sister, Trina. Now, that's all about to change... if Tori can see herself in a new light, even a spotlight! But Hollywood Arts is still a high school, and Tori is still the new kid. She'll have to find new friends, do homework, and just try to fit in. Will Tori grab a starring role in her new life?

Tori gets a chance to perform an act of stage fighting, but things look bad for her when she gets paired up with Jade. Trina's birthday is a big deal in her world and because of this, Tori struggles to find the perfect birthday gift for Trina. André suggests that she writes a song, so as a gift from the heart. She then decides to write an amazing pop song for Trina as a present. However, an ungrateful Trina decides to turn her birthday gift into cash by selling the song, because she thinks it isn't an actual gift since Tori didn't spend any money on it. Meanwhile, Robbie is asked by his grandmother to teach her about computers, and Cat decides to tag along. She regrets it, however, when Robbie's Grandmother shows a deep dislike of her.

They try to leave but the vehicle door is blocked another RV, leaving them trapped in the unbearable heat. Meanwhile, Cat is hanging out with four boys, not knowing about the gang's horrible ordeal.

Tori and Trina are on a plane ride which is delayed, and keeps Tori from finishing a homework assignment for script writing class, so she agrees to work on the script through a video chat with the help of Beck, Andre, and Cat. Unfortunateley, all end up facing distractions during the assignment. Among these distractions, Andre has to deal with his crazed grandmother, Beck is distracted by the jealousy of Jade, Cat is distracted by the special effects on her computer, and Tori is distracted by a fight between Trina and a little boy who keeps kicking her back seat.

Meanwhile, Tori is stuck at home taking care of Trina, who is in massive pain due to her wisdom teeth being removed. Angry that Hayley and Terra cheated, Jade makes up a scheme involving Tori. The next day, Jade and Cat show up and bet Hayley and Terra that anyone in the place could impress the audience more, so Hayley picks a hideous girl to compete against (who is actually Tori in disguise) thinking that "Ugly Betty" will lose easily. If Hayley and Terra win, Hayley gets to make out with Beck, and if they lose, they have to take care of Trina whom Cat and Jade know will be torture to work with. However, Tori surprises everyone (except for Andre, Beck, Cat, Jade, and Robbie who know about the plan) especially Hayley and Terra, by taking off her ugly girl disguise and revealing her true self, including her song "Freak the Freak Out". The audience loved Tori more than Hayley, and Hayley and Terra end up having to take care of Trina. In the end, Tori's drama teacher Mr. Sikowitz sings "Number One" by Ginger Fox (from iCarly).

A handsome classmate named Ryder Daniels asks Tori out and she accepts, and while Tori begins to fall for him due to his asking her to perform a duet with him for the Full Moon Jam, it is discovered that he is only using her to get a good grade, as he did with every other girl he went out with. As revenge, she sings "Beggin' on Your Knees" at the Full Moon Jam instead of their duet, embarrassing him in front of the whole school. Meanwhile, Robbie tries to find out why he has trouble with girls, so he tries to change his image by following Ryder to look cooler. Cat keeps on getting emergency calls on her new cellphone and pretends that the paramedics from NorthStar will be on their way.

Sikowitz gets Tori an audition for a movie. She doesn't get the part but is casted as a stunt double instead. Tori now has to do a very dangerous stunt that involves falling off a chair, through a railing, and 40 feet off a building. But she is too afraid to go through with it and now has to choose between risking injury, or quitting the movie and earning a bad reputation in Hollywood. Meanwhile, Cat keeps dressing up in random costumes she made including an impersonation of Sikowitz.

It is Christmas time at Hollywood Arts and Sikowitz assigns the gang as Secret Santas to one another in order to get them into the Christmas Spirit. The person who give the worst gift will be forced to go "Christmas Yodeling" with Sikowitz on Christmas Eve. Tori struggles to find the perfect gift for Andre after finding out she is his Secret Santa. Meanwhile, Trina enlists Robbie's help to decorate her giant Christmas tree, and Beck loses sleep due to a pesky cricket in his RV. Also Andre becomes a Christmas "Scrooge" after getting a "D" on a song he wrote for his creative music class.

However, she becomes confused when Beck starts to fall for her.

Tori and Jade portray a married couple, a task that challenges their acting skills and lack of friendship. So, Sikowitz sends them on a date at Nozu. There, they meet two boys that won't leave them alone. They sing a song to try and get rid of them, but at the play, they comeback and Tori and Jade run. Elsewhere, Cat and Robbie embark on a business venture in which they tell people negative news in an upbeat manner. Unfortunately, Trina doesn't take her bad news well and smashes Robbie's guitar and their business ends.

Tall tales are told about Trina and how she gained admission to Hollywood Arts. Andre says that it's that Trina did have talent back then, but then Sinjin accidentally hits Trina with a stage light, knocking the talent out of her. Jade says that when she did her terrible singing, the staff said no, but then Trina threw a gas bomb, making them pass out (except for her because she wore a gas mask), so Trina checks yes for each clipboard, followed by the staff not remembering this. Beck says that when Trina sang terribly, the staff said no, so Trina let up another deal, by putting up a fighting challenge for the staff, so if she wins, she would get in. Sikowitz says that when the rest of the staff ran to get Sinjin's head from the soda machine, he watched Trina's audition himself, while drinking rotten coconut milk, which makes him hallucinate and see Trina doing talented and funny stuff, so then Sikowitz lets her in. Meanwhile, Robbie forgets his wallet in his locker and is unable to pay the bill after a meal at Nozu and Tori and him have to work at Nozu to pay a bill. They can't get out because of Kwakoo, one of Nozu's tough workers. All three of them chop seventeen pounds of squid. When they try to leave, Robbie accidentally breaks a pile of dishes, so he has to stay and massage Kwakoo's feet.
3x10 Tori Goes Platinum (Part 1) aired: Saturday May 19, 2012
Tori wins a contest to sing the opening number at the Platinum Music Awards! But, there's just one catch, the show's producer, Mason Thornesmith, and his team want to reinvent her look and personality. Tori has to dress crazy and act mean. Also, Tori is not allowed to tell anyone about this, not even her friends and family, even though her friends at school are shocked by it. It becomes a problem for Tori. Eventually, Beck finds out about Tori's secret by himself, because he knows that Tori wouldn't change so much on purpose. Beck and Tori almost kiss before being interrupted by Mrs. Vega. But then Tori ends up telling Mason and the producers that she can't take it anymore, which results in Mason not letting her appear in the Platinum Music Awards anymore. So they give Jade that chance instead, because they know her from her own audition, which they liked.

This proves to be specifically helpful for Cat, who meets a cute boy at a restaurant. But when she neglects to tell him she's not a real blonde, she begins to worry about whether or not he'll stay with her.

4x1 Wanko's Warehouse aired: Saturday Sep 22, 2012
Trina tells everyone that there is a sale at Wanko's Warehouse, and they all set out to go. They find out that the big sale is going to be at 7 AM, not 7 PM. They find out there is a long line for a sale so they sneak in and get trapped, and try to get out. They plan on hiding in bins until they close, but the store has security cameras and alarm lasers. Everyone slides Robbie under the lasers, because he's skinny and flat enough for it. While Robbie finds his way out, the others get hungry. Once Jade asks for a sandwich, Cat crosses the lasers, setting off the alarm. Everyone (expect Robbie, who's still away) cover their heads with bins so they and Robbie leave the store.
4x2 The Hambone King aired: Saturday Sep 29, 2012
Robbie posts a video online spotlighting his rhythmic talent of hamboning, but Gerald, who claims to be the real hambone king sees it. He challenges Robbie and Robbie messes up and embarrasses himself. Later, Tori reveals that seven years ago she and Gerald hamboned together. Robbie asks Tori to coach him. During the competition, Gerald's friend throws sushi at Robbie, causing him to mess up. Tori decides to face Gerald and ends up winning and becoming the hambone queen. Meanwhile, Cat practices nonstop for her tap-dancing class.

(it looks like she is kissing robbie because robbie fell on her)In the end it is also dicovered that while Andre's grandmother drives him nuts, she is the main reason he's good at writing music.
